Lumissil’s advanced controllers, the IS31SE5117 and IS31SE5118 are utilizing state of the art 3rd generation Sigma-Delta touch control technology. A touch controller in simple terms is a statistical counter of capacitor charge/discharge events based on capacitance added to electrodes due to touch or gesture. These available products offer both the 3rd generation Sigma-Delta technology, which implement differential dual-slope charge sharing, and 2nd generation Charge Transfer technology. Other key technology features are: First - Moisture immunity, using a shield driver function, Second - very low average power consumption, utilizing wake-on-touch feature which enable device configuration to be in sleep mode most of the time, and finally, Improved signal to noise by both lower impedance and pseudo-random sample sequencing frequency.
