This presentation will provide a brief introduction to RFID technology, and how Microchip helps customers determine the best solution for dedicated applications. Active and passive RFID systems will be discussed, beginning with a basic review of what RFID actually is, plus technical basics of how RFID operation works. The two different system architectures, LF and active RFID, will be highlighted and potential applications provided. Finally, the Microchip RFID product portfolio and related Microchip support tools will be discussed.
