Si86Px Family Digital Isolators

The Skyworks Solutions Si86Px family combines high-speed digital isolation with an integrated isolated DC/DC power converter in a single wide-body SOIC package. These devices eliminate the need for an external isolated power supply while supporting up to four isolated digital channels across a reinforced isolation barrier.

The integrated power architecture uses a hysteretic, on/off controlled converter and on-chip air core transformer to deliver up to 0.5 W of isolated power from a 3.3 V or 5 V input. Output voltages are programmable from 3.15 V to 5.25 V using an external resistor divider, allowing the isolated supply to power downstream logic, sensors, or data converters.

Si86Px digital channels use RF based capacitive isolation to achieve data rates up to 150 Mbps with a maximum propagation delay of 15 ns. The architecture provides high common mode transient immunity (minimum 100 kV/µs), low emissions, and consistent timing performance across temperature and supply voltage.
