HC5FW Series Automotive Current Sensors

LEM's HC5FW series current sensors are designed to measure both DC link current and phase current in motor control applications, particularly in automotive xEVs' traction inverters. These sensors utilize open-loop Hall-based LEM current sensor technology, enabling them to measure the magnetic field produced by the primary current flowing through a busbar inserted into the sensor slot. They then deliver an output voltage proportionate to the primary current, all while ensuring galvanic isolation.

The precise assembly and calibration of a magnetic core designed by LEM and a proprietary ASIC developed by LEM result in outstanding performance and accuracy, making the HC5FW series highly reliable for demanding motor control applications.
