VG Connectors - J Plating

Amphenol's VG95234 and VG95328 cadmium and chrome (VI) free connectors meet DIN-EN military technical standards for defense and equipment. These standards are jointly developed by experts from the defense area and the relevant industry; the DIN takes over the task of military standardization. The expectations of military technical standards are similar to those of civilian standardization: standardization of types, compatibility, ensuring the replacement, warranty in the event of damage, functionality, competitiveness, reliability and thus safety, and quality. However, they include technical and techno-economic requirements for products and processes in the defense sector, which civil standards cannot meet. An important additional criterion of defense standardization is also to ensure the intermateability of the connectors, which is of decisive importance for international operations and the associated cooperation.

J-plating connectors have a zinc-tin-coated and electrically-conductive shield connection system which fully complies with the values of a cadmium-plated design in terms of corrosion resistance, conductivity, and shielding capability. Compatibility for cadmium or other listed plating options have been checked and are available upon request.
