Kemet offers their KONNEKT U2J multilayer ceramic chip capacitor. This surface mount capacitor is designed for high-efficiency and high-density power applications. It utilizes an innovative transient liquid phase sintering material to create a leadless multi-chip solution. As a result, it enables a low-loss, low-inductance package capable of handling extremely high ripple currents in the hundreds of kilohertz when combined with Kemet’s ultra-stable U2J dielectric. This MLCC capacitor can be mounted in a low-loss orientation to further increase its power handling capability. Other features include ultra-low equivalent series resistance, ultra-low equivalent series inductance, and an operating temperature range from minus 55 degrees Celsius to 125 degrees Celsius. Typical applications include data centers, switched tank converters, snubbers, wireless charging systems, power converters, and more.
