QPA2597 2.0 GHz to 6.0 GHz GaN Driver Amplifier

The QPA2597 from Qorvo is a packaged driver amplifier utilizing GaN on SiC technology, designed for operation across the 2.0 GHz to 6.0 GHz frequency range. It delivers 32 dBm output power, 24 dB small signal gain, and achieves 37% power-added efficiency (PAE). The device is internally matched to 50 Ω and features integrated DC blocking capacitors on both RF ports, simplifying system integration. Its plastic overmold QFN package (4 mm x 4 mm) supports cost-effective assembly and robust thermal performance.

The QPA2597 is suitable for use as a driver stage in high-power amplifier chains or as an output stage in lower-power architectures. It operates on the same voltage rail as corresponding GaN HPAs, streamlining biasing in multi-stage designs. The amplifier is RoHS compliant and supports lead-free, halogen-free, and antimony-free assembly.
