SSL/VPN connections protect traffic between the console server and control rooms. User authentication, RADIUS, and LDAP prevent unauthorized access. With Cisco pin-compatible RJ-45 and RS-232 ports, low-cost Ethernet cable aggregate up to 16 console ports to two redundant 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN ports. The console server comes in an IS30 metal rack mount chassis and operates over an extended temperature range.
